1. Does your logo effectively represent your business?

First impressions are essential. Your logo provides the first glimpse of what your company does and stands for. It should be shouting that your business is professional, stable, successful and at the top of its field.

2. Is your logo unique to your business?

You want your potential clients to know that your business is special and unique. No matter how many times you try to explain to people that your business is unique, your business image needs to say this as well. A professionally designed logo will ensure a meaningful identity mark that is as unique as your business.

3. Is your business having an identity crisis?

Your business should have a clearly defined identity and style. This represents consistency. Consistency is the key factor in sending the message that your business is focused, stable and dependable.

4. Is your logo breaking the bank?

The cost of reproducing your graphics should be considered. Printing business cards, postcards, and other promotional materials can be a major expense. The more colors in the design , the more it will cost to produce.

5. Is your logo too complicated?

Photographic images should not be incorporated into a logo. They are very difficult to reproduce and re-size and often appear fuzzy or pixilated. Your logo should be designed using vector art which allows it to be easily re-sized up or down without loss of quality.

8. Is your logo still effective in one color?

If your logo contains multiple colors, it should also be legible in a single color as you will encounter multiple situations that require a single color mark. For example embossing and some promotional merchandise do not allow for different tonal ranges in one color. Be sure that your logo will look good in one color.
